Other Details to Note
No smoking is allowed inside unit or on the Lanai. There are designated smoking areas outside building. Closest is on west size of building at the end of the lawn near the roadway. Being on a tropical island- it is not uncommon to see Geckos and large Bugs. They sometimes make their way into the unit and we can’t offer discount or refunds because of bug entry.

The condo is located in the Surf and Racquet Club and offers three newly-resurfaced and lighted tennis courts, the swimming pool and pavilion are right next to an ancient Hawaiian dwelling; walk down a path to to the black lava shoreline and seeing the waves crashing in. Just a short drive beyond the resort takes you to Kahalu'u, one of the finest snorkel beaches on the island. At Kahalu'u you can relax, look for turtles, or take surfing lessons. Kona Surf and Racquet Club is quiet with gardens, pavilions, and a large shimmering pool. There are propane grills throughout for your use. The 'Racquet Club' is close to shopping, restaurants and unlimited beach activities. World class golf is within minutes at The Kona Country Club, open to the public. An amazing playground for children is located just few miles south, on the road to Captain Cook. It looks like a storybook castle. Manta Rays are found in few places, but nearby Keauhou Bay is one of them! You can see them at night with a visit to the bay. Many companies offer snorkeling or diving tours, to see these huge and gentle creatures up close. A trip to 'town' (about 5 miles north) offers galleries, restaurants, a fantastic Farmers' Market and some Hawaiian history along the way. There is a wonderful luau, shopping and delicious local fruits and vegetables to bring back to The Surf and Racquet Club. Coffee and Macadamiun nut plantations, historic villages like Kealakekua and Holualoa, groves of papaya, guava and mango are nearby and considered "Old Hawaii". The cool elevations can be a welcome contrast to the sunny weather that has made the Kona Coast a favorite destination for generations of Hawaiians and visitors. A short walk south takes you to the Keauhou Shopping Center with an excellent grocery store (KTA), restaurants, a pharmacy and a variety of stores. Free hula shows and music are held at the center most weekends, along with a Saturday farmer's market.
