Upon entering you will be greeted by a beautifully decorated room in the vintage Hawaiiana Style. A comfortable and elegant Queen size Elephant Bamboo bed draws attention. A sitting area with two rattan chairs, coffee table, chest of drawers and a flat screen TV is the perfect place to kick back and relax after a fun day at the beach. There is a dinette set for dining and a desk with chair for writing those postcards to loved ones back home (or emailing them:). Also, there is a lovely lanai set for enjoying that morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The art and decor are reminiscent of Vintage Hawaii. The condo is on the third floor (no elevator) in the Lanai Building and is not handicap accessible. 350 sf. studio with kitchenette (microwave, induction cook plate, mini-fridge, coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, toaster, plates, cups, glasses, utensils. There is a lovely and private lanai with a peek-a-boo ocean view of Kailua Bay. We have a beautiful tile shower and a dedicated sink, medicine cabinet with mirror and lighted make-up mirror with 5x magnification in the bathroom. The ceiling is hand textured and there are 3 ceiling fans and an air conditioner for your comfort as it can get warm in Kona! Guest access Guests check in is "hotel style". When you enter the lobby there will be a long white desk on the left side. At the desk there will be a person to check you in and give you a keycard and parking pass*. They will also give you directions to the room. The Keycard gives you access to the pool and jacuzzi area and laundry room. *If the person is not at the desk, there is a black phone to the left of the desk. Pick up the phone and it will connect you to the person on-call. *If checking in after Midnight, contact us and we will make other arrangements for you to obtain the key. Kona Islander Inn's common areas: Pool, spa and gas BBQ area, Lobby, Beautifully landscaped walkways. There are limited parking spaces, available first come first serve. Three flights of stairs to our condo. No elevators in complex. Free secure Wi-Fi with new high speed router. On premises laundry room (coin operated). Other things to note Check in is 4 PM, Check out is 11:00AM. If you need a later checkout or earlier check in, please call us to see if it is available. Please let us know if you will be arriving after midnight as there is not a check in person on duty and we will give you alternate check in information. There are limited parking spaces on the property. If parking stalls are full there are spaces out in the front on the street, across the street and free and paid parking one block over. The person at the front desk can direct you. The unit has one queen bed and sleeps 2 Adults Great honeymoon suite! No extra cost for air conditioning! It is not uncommon to see large bugs or geckos outside and possibly inside of our unit. They are harmless and part of living in tropical environment.
